Since graduating from High School, Laura Bährle, currently living in Berlin has been involved in many projects on the professional sound engineering sector. While working as a sound engineer at Hessischer Rundfunk (Hessian Broadcasting Corporation), she began her studies in audio engineering at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts and successfully concluded them at the Middlesex University of London, earning a Master of Arts degree.
During her studies, Laura Bährle worked as a freelance sound engineer and production manager for public radio stations, for domestic and foreign CD and video productions, as well as mastering the post-production sound for video. Her sphere of activity included such media giants as ZDF, Arte, NHK Japan and EuroArts.
She spent 2008 at the Banff Centre of Arts (Banff, Canada) as a tutor, contributing to their Work Study Programme. Since 2012, she has occasionally provided directing assistance for the TV/DVD/streaming versions of music productions, as well as participating in the organization and distribution of Lavendelfilm Overdub Studio in Filmpark Potsdam-Babelsberg.
As of 2013, Laura Bährle has been working regularly mastering recordings and productions for the Berliner Philharmoniker, as well as serving the Berliner Philharmoniker Digital Concert Hall as sound engineer and audio producer.
